According to the US Department of Labor, the first Monday of September is the “yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.” It’s estimated that the first recognition of Labor Day took place in 1885, with a formal act from Congress making it an official holiday on June 28, 1894.
At St. Croix Collections, our handcrafted products are a reflection of the commitment not only to ourselves and our customers, but to a wider system of progress, achievement and excellence in America. We take tremendous pride in working every day to create the finest, most luxurious products available. Mr. Brenner founded St. Croix on the dream of making the best knitwear in the world, but he’s the first one to tell you that it’s our employees—their skill and commitment—that has created our enduring legacy of excellence.
We’ll be taking a break from our efforts this holiday weekend, and hope that you enjoy your Labor Day as well!
