Design Director Dave Gebhardt took some time away from his busy travel schedule (more on that another time) to share his favorite pieces from the Fall 2015 Collection. Not sure what to wear this fall? Let his choices be your guide!
Textured Knits: From our very favorite Fashion Cable Knit Cardigan Sweater to our Classic Chunky Rib Knit Zip Vest, nothing says fall like texture. Our supreme quality Merino Wool is made even cozier with all the fabulous patterns and textures.
Ombre Stripe
: For something a little more colorful, ombre brings layers of deep rich fall colors together in one piece. Dave has chosen to highlight our Zip Mock Pullover and our Tonal Ombre Crewneck.
Classic & Light Knits: SAINT CROIX is famous for their classic looks and lightweight knits that nearly transcend the seasons. Lightweight enough for layering, classic enough to wear year round. We know that one of his very favorite pieces (of any year) is the fine gauge, 100% Merino Wool Classic V-neck Vest. How do we know? A) He tells us. B) He loves to wear them all winter long, layered over our fabulous woven shirts and under a great jacket!
Crossover Wovens: Dressing up or down, our Crossover Shirts are your go-to choices for work hours, happy hours and off hours. Our choices for fall include great mini-checks, neat patterns and sublime stripes. Dave’s favorite is our Classic Sateen Twill White Shirt with the different colored buttons on the placket and cuffs. It’s an unexpected touch of color on a traditional looking woven shirt.
Hosiery: Patterned socks are everywhere, and they are a bright pop of color for your workday wear. What you won’t find everywhere is the supreme quality of our Italian made, hand-looped socks. That means that every sock is seamless, no bumpy or lumpy seams across your toe. Ever!
Fall Outerwear: Dave’s personal favorite item is the down filled Full Zip Bubble Vest. It’s made in Italy, and the comfort and warmth are amazing. We also have a fabulous jacket version of this vest with Rib Knit Sleeves, and a “quilted” Knit Bubble Jacket with Rib Knit Sleeves, which offers a sleeker, more elegant look.
Creative Sweaters: It wouldn’t be a SAINT CROIX Season without some fun and colorful sweaters. Our “wearable art” sweaters, inspired by great works of art, have become collector’s items. Bright geometrics, intarsia knit patterns and tone-on-tone geometric designs add a shot of bold color to your fall wardrobe.
Trousers: Completing Dave’s picks for the fall season are two of our best trousers: the 14 Micron Wool Flat Front Trouser (in 5 luxurious colors), and our 5-Pocket Pant in our Techno-Wool Fabric. Dave claims that the great fitting 5-Pocket Pants are the best travel pants ever, because they are a wrinkle-resistant all season trouser that will take you around the world. Trust him, he knows.
