Do you remember last week’s storm? The storm that shut down offices, schools, and freeways, and dumped upwards of 30 inches of snow on certain parts of the east coast? The storm that had people digging out of walls of snow surrounding their cars and homes? Yes, THAT storm. While most people were rushing to flee that blizzard and ride out the storm in the comfort of their homes, the St. Croix design team was rushing right into the middle of it in NYC.

Fortunately they arrived in NY before the storm landed. And although the snow kept piling up, the St. Croix team (Founder Bernhard Brenner, Design Director Dave Gebhardt, and Designer Sara Kjos) took it all in stride and didn’t let the weather get in their way. In fact, judging by their happy faces, they maybe even enjoyed it!
As always, the team represented St. Croix Collections and Heritage by St. Croix at the MRket show extremely well, and even in the madness that the storm created, managed to squeeze in plenty of trend research, shopping, and of course, eating. They were fortunate to be able to spend time with Karen Alberg Grossman, Editor-in-Chief of MR Magazine and MR-Mag.com. The group enjoyed a great meal at one of their favorite restaurants, Il Vagabondo, hardly noticing the crazy weather outside.
The saying “life is what you make it” feels pretty accurate for this latest St. Croix adventure. The team will be attending the MRket Las Vegas event February 15-17. We’re pretty sure they won’t need to worry about a blizzard for that show, but if there was a snowstorm, we’re confident they could handle it!
